Parental Guide

The transition from Year 11 to the Sixth Form is an exciting and challenging time. Our Supporting Success booklet is designed to help parents and carers support their son / daughter to adapt as quickly as possible to the demands of A Level study and life as a Sixth Form student. Whilst it is expected that students will take increasing responsibility for their own learning and academic progress, there is an important role for parents / carers to play in this process.

If parents / carers have any questions or concerns, they should not hesitate to contact the Sixth Form [email protected] or call 01200 423118.

Parents should inform the Sixth Form on the first day of unexpected absence, such as illness, by 10.00am. This can be done by telephone (an answering machine is available before 8.15am) or by email [email protected].
