The Association of Friends

Clitheroe Royal Grammar School has a vibrant and active Association of Friends where parents / carers and both current and former staff work together to support the school and raise valuable funds to enrich the learning experience of our students.

The Association meets termly, one evening, at Main School. In addition to the Committee members there are many other supporters who contribute to the Association by generously giving their time, support and resources.

In recent years the Association has been able to fund additional musical instruments, sports and ICT equipment. Money is raised through a varied programme of activities and events. Over the last twelve months these have included a Quiz night, Ceilidh and “Open Mic” event. These are well supported by parents / carers, students and staff and provide an opportunity for families to get together and socialise within the school environment, whilst raising valuable funds for enrichment projects.

The Association also provides support and refreshments for events such as the Entrance Examination, musical concerts and drama performances.

The group is always keen to welcome new members and would be delighted to hear from you. To learn more, please email [email protected] or visit the Facebook page.
