Year 12 students visited a UCAS Discovery Day in Manchester on 4th March. This gave them the opportunity to speak face-to-face with a wide range of universities, employers and apprenticeship providers. This was followed by our annual Year 12 Careers Morning on 5th March. The event saw us welcome a diverse range of speakers to talk about a variety of careers. Students attended two talks of their choosing and our speakers included both recent and more mature CRGS alumni as well as parents, and local and national employers.
The talks inspired our students who gained valuable knowledge about career routes and options, entry requirements, the nature of different roles and progression routes as well as key advice including reflections such as ‘What I wish I’d known when I was your age.’
Our photographs show CRGS alumni Rani Govender (Class of 2015) and Ellie Bibby (Class of 2018) delivering their talks on ‘Careers in Policy and Public Affairs’ and ‘Building a Sustainable Future: Careers in Consultancy’.
