The English Schools’ Ski Association (ESSKIA) National Championships take place in the autumn each year. On the weekend of 5th-6th October 2019, and following on from the qualifying races in September, the CRGS teams travelled down to Norwich to take part in the ESSKIA National Finals.
We are delighted to report that on day 1, in a very close race against eleven other schools in the country, our girls’ team was placed 1st in the U19 category.
On the next day, in the Open Finals, our girls’ team finished in 3rd place overall after one of our skiers skied out in the first run. The boys’ team matched this result, coming 3rd overall in the open race.
It was a great weekend and a fantastic achievement. Well done to everyone who competed!
