On Friday 16th March 2018, four student teams, two staff teams, a governing body team and several alumni teams went head-to-head in the annual Clitheronians’ Association Quiz Night.
Throughout the night, teams were tested with rounds of ‘true or false’ questions, general knowledge and questions from the British Citizenship Test. After a brief interval when everyone enjoyed a lovely meal prepared by the school canteen staff and a raffle, the battle of wits continued through the final two rounds consisting of questions about ‘news from 2017’, and the challenging ‘correct and impossible’ round.
As the exciting evening came to an end, it was clear that the overall winning team was the reigning champions: ‘Tequila Mockingbird’ and the highest placed student team was ‘Quizzards’. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening and I look forward to participating again next year.
Thank you to Sir John Lewis and his wife Penny for composing such an enjoyable series of questions for the five challenging and competitive rounds.
Our photograph show the highest placed of the four student team ‘Quizzards’ made up of five Sixth Form students.
