On Tuesday 16th January, the Sixth Form was delighted to welcome guest speakers representing a wide range of fields of employment to our Year 12 Careers Morning. Students were able to choose 2 sessions to attend during the morning from a choice of 24.
It was very positive to see former students as well as parents and governors involved, talking about the nature of their work, entry requirements, key skills and progression routes. The sessions proved very useful for our students as they plan for their Work Experience taking place in the final week of this academic year. The event also helped students prepare for the UCAS Careers and Higher Education Convention which they are to attend on Tuesday 13th March 2018 in Manchester.
We would like to thank all our guest speakers, some of whom were here for the first time and others who have long-standing links with the school (including student work placements and full-time employment). We are very grateful to everyone who gave up their time to share their knowledge and expertise.
