On Wednesday 20th December 2017, Sixth Form students who have applied to study Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine at university for entry in 2018, were fortunate enough to have a mock MMI (multiple mini-interview) with doctors, medical students and veterinary students from the Universities of Birmingham, Glasgow and Surrey.
The MMI comprised 6 stations with questions from past interviews. The stations were timed as it would be in an actual MMI, which helped us to get a feeling for the timings. We covered ethics, NHS hot topics and personal qualities questions. We found this experience invaluable and extremely informative. The feedback we received will certainly help us in our applications.
Thank you to Dr Clarke and Mrs Dickinson for organising the event for us. We are also very grateful to Dr Stanley and Dr Hill as well as CRGS alumni and current medical students Ben Stanley and Ben Fourie and veterinary science student Tom Carter who delivered the sessions and shared their experience and expertise. It was certainly an opportunity not to be missed.
